Although I didn't attend the football game here at Southern a couple weeks ago I did attend my home town Derby game last Friday night. When I was a varsity cheerleader I always used to cheer in the games on those Friday nights and when I was there on Friday it brought back so many memories and I missed it so much. I love watching my sister cheer now that she is a freshman. It's so weird watching all the new upcoming freshman that I even coached when they were little. The game was awesome. I missed the excitement that goes on throughout the whole games. Whenever they make a touchdown there's always a song that they play "Derby High School, Derby High School, Charge on down that line..from the center to the end zone..touchdown Derby Highhhh..Derby High School..Derby High school, show your loyalty (234) Fight Derby FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT for VICTORY... HEY" I used to love doing that ! Last friday game was so exciting, the boys were losing all first half of the game but then they ended up catching up and winning 49-45! I was so happy and I felt like I was still cheering on the sidelines! I still love going to the games and coming back since I've graduated. It's a really good feeling and I'll always be part of the Raider Nation!
